Why B-BOX?

350L

Full mobility

B-BOX's compact design with wheels are capable to locate anywhere, with just one 110V / 220V power plug

Zero

distance for treatment

B-BOX with it's mobility to handle food waste in no distance, a one-stop 'Dispose-Grind-Feed' to allow BSF in consuming food waste

40kg

Daily consumption rate

By utilizing Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL) as the consumption media, B-BOX can consume up to 40kg per day of food waste during BSFL grows

-CO2

A close-loop circularity

Compared to incineration and landfilling, the B-BOX provides a nature-based solution that significantly reduces CO₂ emissions, operating with less than 1.5 kW of power consumption per day while further offsetting emissions through the production of BSF-based fertilizers.

Revolutionary Waste Management

B-BOX embeds biotechnologies, IoT and GHG quantification, a one-stop organic waste treatment solution.

Scope 1

Scope 2

Scope 3

Carbon reduction
  • Reduction in GHG - Organic waste to frass, reduce emissions of

    • CO2 by 62%

    • CH4 by 87%

    • N2O by 95%

  • On-Site Energy Use - lower direct emissions from fuel and energy use on-site

Innovation and ideas
  • Energy Efficiency - Can be integrated with renewable energy as to power operations

Fertility levels
  • BSFL farming reduces the need for transportation and import of organic fertilizer products

  • Diverting organic waste from landfills to BSFL farming significantly reduces methane emissions from landfills

  • The end products of BSFL farming, such as animal feed and organic fertilizers, have a lower carbon footprint compared to conventional products. This contributes to overall carbon reduction throughout the product lifecycle

Functions beyond design

B-BOX is a compact, energy-efficient solution designed for seamless food waste management. With its sleek, modern housing, it integrates effortlessly into any environment while offering a complete waste-to-fertilizer process. From shredding and bio-consumption by Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL) to producing nutrient-rich frass fertilizer, B-BOX streamlines waste disposal in a single, automated system. Consuming less than 1.5kW of power daily, it is both eco-friendly and cost-effective. Its size, comparable to a standard recycling bin, ensures easy placement in homes, businesses, or communal spaces, making sustainable waste management more accessible than ever.

Circularity

B-BOX is more than just a food waste treatment device—by extracting frass from BSFL, it can produce up to 100kg of BSF frass fertilizer each month. This nutrient-rich fertilizer supports agricultural growth, which in turn leads to new food production and ultimately generates food waste, completing the circular ecosystem.
